The Horizon Interactive Awards competition, which takes place during the spring of each year, is a prestigious international competition that recognizes achievement among interactive media producers. The international competition recognizes the best Web sites, cd-roms, dvds, videos, webcasts, and kiosks from more than 20 countries worldwide.
Browsermedia earned eight awards with the new Romance Writers of America Web site winning in the Public Service/Non-Profit category.
The 2008 Horizon Interactive Awards judging panel consisted of industry professionals from various multi-media, graphic design, and marketing backgrounds. Over 1,000 entries who participated in the competition were reviewed by the Horizon Interactive Awards board, an end-user panel, and an international panel of judges. Horizon Interactive Awards judges choose the winning entries based on solution creativity and originality, overall graphic design/appearance/user experience, communication of message, technical merit, and effectiveness of solution.
"The 2008 competition was the most competitive to date. The work in this year's competition is at such a high level that the judges really had their work cut out for them," said Mike Sauce, founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. "All of the winning entries displayed a high level of sophistication, aesthetic creativity, technical excellence and clear purpose."
