The RWA Annual Conference offers attendees a chance to personally pitch manuscripts to publishing-house editors and agents who represent romance authors in an editor/agent appointment during the Conference.

Editors Taking Appointments
All editor/agent appointments will take place in a designated area of the conference hotel on Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31, 2010. If you do not currently have an appointment, registered attendees may wait in the designated appointments area in case any appointments become available.
Priority for appointments goes:
• first to current Golden Heart and RITA finalists
• then to past Golden Heart and RITA finalists from the previous two years’ contests (2009 & 2008)
• then PRO and PAN members
• and then all General members.
Editor/Agent Appointments – Registration Timeline
May 3, 2010 – Editor/agent appointment registration available to current Golden Heart and RITA finalists.
May 11, 2010 – Editor/agent appointment registration available to Golden Heart and RITA finalists from the previous two years’ contests (2009 and 2008 contest years).
May 17, 2010 – Editor/agent appointment registration available to PRO and
PAN members.
May 24, 2010 – Editor/agent appointment registration available to all General RWA members.
July 9, 2010 – Appointment registration ends at 5:00 p.m. CT.
Step-by-step instructions for editor/agent appointment sign-up are below. Must be a registered conference attendee to sign up for an appointment.
1. Log into the RWA Web site at www.rwa.org .
2. After you have logged in, click on “My Account Profile”. (In the GOLD bar towards the top of the page.)
3. In the “My Account Profile” section click on the “My Profile” link.
4. There will be two separate links at the bottom of your “My Profile” page, one for editor appointment sign-up, and one for agent appointment sign-up. (NOTE: These links will NOT be visible until 8:00 AM Central Time on your assigned appointment sign-up date.)
5. Click on the appropriate link.
6. Check the editor/agent registration fee ($0.00) box and the box beside the editor or agent you would like an appointment with. Editor/agent appointments are free.
7. Check the “Receive email confirmation” check box at the bottom of the page.
8. Click the register button.
9. You should receive a confirmation email once your registration has been processed. You can also verify your registration by going to your “My Transactions” page under “My Account Profile.”
