Allison Kelley has served as executive director of Romance Writers of America for the past 14 years. Prior to her career with RWA, Allison served as vice-president of operations for two banks. Allison holds a B.A. in English from the University of Texas. After graduation, she studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Houston. In December 2006, Allison achieved Certified Association Executive designation. Allison has served as representative for RWA to the Authors Coalition since 1995.

Erin Fry began working for Romance Writers of America in September 2002. As editor, Erin oversees the editorial and production of the association's magazine, the Romance Writers Report, RWA eNotes, and all printed conference materials. Erin graduated Texas A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Stephani Fry has been with RWA for five years. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in Sociology and earned her Master of Library Science in 2008. She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), where she currently serves on the Young Adult Library Services’ Teen Read Week committee. During her time at RWA, she has facilitated the Golden Heart and RITA contests, served as the staff contact for the workshop committee and coordinated the association’s elections. Currently, Stephani serves as RWA’s liaison to the bookseller and librarian communities, organizes RWA’s presence at BookExpo America and the ALA Conferences, arranges the RWA Librarians’ Day events and assists with the management of the Academic Research Grant program.
Paula Levron, Bookkeeper

Paula Levron has over 13 years of accounting experience with eight years in the nonprofit sector. She has been responsible for all accounting functions at Romance Writers of America for the past three years. She is proficient in RWA’s association management software, netForum, and is responsible for ensuring all transactions balance with RWA’s cash accounts. Since joining RWA, Paula has completed three financial audits without any audit adjustments. She is experienced in Quickbooks and Peachtree accounting software.
Tiffany Light, Event Planner and Editorial Assistant

Tiffany joined RWA in November 2009. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2006 and spent three years in event planning, public relations and graphic design for Caterpillar, Inc. in Lafayette, Indiana. Tiffany is currently handling event planning and assisting in advertising efforts for RWA publications, including the RWR.

Donna Mathoslah joined the RWA staff on September 10, 2008—one day before Hurricane Ike hit Galveston and Houston. It was literally sink or swim, on-the-job training for Donnas as she worked beside the dedicated staff to maintain the high level of service that RWA prides itself on providing to its members.
Donna has a background in human resources outsourcing and was once a small business owner. She enthusiastically assists members with questions and responds to member by e-mail or telephone. As a former RWA member, Donna brings a unique understanding to the vital front-office services. Donna says, "It is funny how life always seems to come full circle; I landed here during a windstorm, but I am so pleased to be at RWA!"

Carol Ritter joined RWA in 2008 after serving for nine years as vice-president of operations and standards of the Better Business Bureau of Houston and South Texas. As professional relations manager, Carol reviews boilerplate contracts to determine if publishers meet RWA’s standards as RWA-Eligible presses. She also handles member complaints against publishers and agents and administers the RITA and Golden Heart contests. Carol is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University.

Leslie Scantlebury has over six years of experience in association management. Her background includes member retention, education and association resource management for a 19,000 member nonprofit association. Leslie began working with RWA in the spring of 2008 as member/chapter services coordinator. In addition to offering professional support to chapters, Leslie is charged with ensuring that chapters are in compliance with RWA bylaws and are operating as nonprofit entities. Leslie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.
Judy Scott, Webmaster/Data Services

Judy Scott has over 20 years of experience in creative design, public relations, Web design and network management. Her experience includes Web-based data management and commercial design. She has been a featured seminar speaker on a number of technology-related topics and is certified with Microsoft in both Word and Powerpoint. Judy graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Advertsing/Public Relations and has taught classes in Dreamweaver, MS FrontPage and most Microsoft products.
